J. Cole announced the album title and release date during a Ustream chat with fans last week on his website, DreamVillian. He has reportedly been working hard in the studio over the last few months to create a project that he hopes will defy the sophomore album slump.
Born Sinner will serve as a follow-up to Cole World: The Sideline Story, which was released in Sept. 2011, debuting in the top spot on the Billboard 200 and featuring the hit singles Can’t Get Enough, with R&B singer Trey Songz, Work Out, and Nobody’s Perfect, with rapper Missy Elliott.

According to his website, J. Cole will release the LP’s first single, Miss America. Further details are not currently available, but he is rumored to be working with producer No I.D. and singer Frank Ocean on the project. And with his sophomore album coming soon, fans should expect to hear more about his album with West Coast phenom Kendrick Lamar in the near future.
