The free music just keeps flowing. J. Cole dropped his latest EP, Truly Yours 2, on the Internet last week as a free gift for loyal fans who have been patiently awaiting his upcoming sophomore effort. In a post on his official website, the North Carolina-bred rapper thanked fans and gave special thanks to some of his recent collaborators.

“As promised. Another ‘Thank You’ for your patience,” wrote Cole. “Shout to Jeezy, 2 Chainz, Canei, Jake One and Bas…Born Sinner coming June 25. Game Changer. Dreamville. Much love.”

The six-song offering provides more quality music in the same vein of its predecessor, Truly Yours, which was released in February. He gets reflective on “Cole Summer” over Lauryn Hill’s 1998 hit “Nothing Even Matters” and even asks the female rapper to not sue him for the production. He raps with 2 Chainz on “Chris Tucker,” one of the EP’s clear radio-friendly tracks. And on “Kenny Lofton,” he spits witty sports-based punch lines about Lofton and Penny Hardaway with southern rapper Young Jeezy. Check out the full project here.

As for Born Sinner Cole recently revealed to Rolling Stone that he produced the majority of the upcoming LP himself. The music finds him in a more confident space than his debut, when he was still trying to figure out how to navigate the music world. He feels that the extra time and experience has allowed him to reach new creative heights.

“When you hear this, I want you to know who produced these [songs],” said Cole. “That’s my main thing: watch out for the whole album, the concepts, the stories I’m telling. But really hear the production.”

Born Sinner reaches shelves on June 25.
