Though he stands tall at 6-foot-9, former LSU star Jarell Martin has used his speed to grab the attention of his trainers at Impact Basketball in Las Vegas. As he prepared for the NBA Combine, coaches called Martin’s ability to get up and down the floor similar to that of a “track star,” and that it will make a man of his size almost impossible to guard.
“He’s going to be a guy that’s too strong for a smaller guy to guard and too fast for a bigger guy to guard,” said Joe Abunassar, founder of Impact.
Early scouting reports compare Martin’s skillset to that of Draymond Green, the do-it-all forward currently playing for the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Finals. Watch Martin’s training routine in the video above, and you’ll understand why NBA teams can’t wait to get their hands on him.
