Jason Bateman and Jennifer Aniston Team Up for ‘Office Christmas Party’
Frequent co-stars Jason Bateman and Jennifer Aniston are re-teaming for the big screen comedy Office Christmas Party. The movie, which begins filming this spring in Atlanta, revolves around a group of co-workers whose office Christmas party goes terribly wrong. The concept is provocative, and people can relate to it, considering that company holiday parties are notorious for getting wildly and strangely out of hand.
Plot details are being kept under wraps, but with a premise like this, the possibilities are endless.
The cast also features popular comedic actors Kate McKinnon (Saturday Night Live) and T.J. Miller (Silicon Valley; Deadpool). Olivia Munn (Ride Along 2) is currently in negotiations to join the cast.
The picture will be directed by Will Speck and Josh Gordon, who have collaborated on many projects, including Blades of Glory and the new TV comedy Flaked. The film was written by Timothy Dowling (Just Go With It) and Guymon Casady.
Bateman and Aniston previously co-starred in the hit comedy franchise Horrible Bosses and the 2010 romantic comedy The Switch, also directed by Speck and Gordon. The two actors clearly have on-screen chemistry, and this kind of wacky romp seems right up their alley.
This is one of four movies Aniston has debuting in 2016. She will next be seen in the star-studded ensemble Mother’s Day, in theaters April 29. Bateman will soon be switching gears from lighthearted to serious when he co-stars alongside Liam Neeson in the Watergate scandal drama Felt, out next year.
Office Christmas Party hits theaters on December 9, 2016.
