If you live under a rock, you might not know that this is Kobe Bryant's last season in the NBA. When another teams hosts the Lakers for the last time, they have a special way of showing their respect to the Black Mamba and honoring his stellar 20-year career. For the Los Angeles Lakers guard, his last game against the Charlotte Hornets might be the most special yet.
Michael Jordan, arguably the best player in NBA history and now majority owner of the Charlotte Hornets, sent Bryant an emotional message before his last game against the Hornets. This was a big deal, not only because of Jordan's legacy but because he and Bryant have a special relationship. As he was growing up, Kobe considered Jordan his favorite player, and he modeled his game after him.
So when Kobe's mentor comes out and says how they've been like brothers and how much Bryant has done for the NBA, it's a special night. Watch the video below:
