One to Watch: Julius Randle, High School Basketball Class of 2013
Although we’re a few months away from the start of the high school basketball season, it may be time for you to put Julius Randle on your radar. The 6’9″, 240-pound senior from Prestonwood Christian Academy in Plano, Texas, has been battling Jabari Parker from Simeon High School in Chicago for the number one ranking. The list of universities hoping to land Randle is long, and the current top contenders are N.C. State, Kentucky, Kansas and Duke.
This past summer, Ballislife.com followed Randle with a camera while he was playing for the Texas Titans AAU team and put out the above video mixtape.
With a silky smooth jumper, excellent ball handling and passing skills, Serge Ibaka-like shot-blocking abilities and Zach Randolph-type post moves, Randle is destined for stardom in both college and the pros.[youtube video=”HJqaMioXegU” /]
