Kanye West Announces Tour With Kendrick Lamar
Kanye West will embark on a tour—his first as a solo act in five years—later this year. The rapper announced the trek via Twitter. The seven-week tour will include stops in 23 cities, including Seattle, Detroit, Chicago, Minneapolis, Boston, Dallas and Philadelphia. West Coast up-and-comer Kendrick Lamar will open for Kanye on most of the dates. Tickets will be available starting Sept. 13.
The tour is to promote Kanye’s critically acclaimed project, Yeezus, which has been certified gold, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and spawned the hit single, “New Slaves.”
