Karl-Anthony Towns is Looking Mighty Swole
We’re just weeks away from the start of the 2016-2017 NBA season, and the Minnesota Timberwolves are one of the most exciting teams looking to take a major leap into playoff contention. With a new head coach, a talented core of Zach LaVine, Andrew Wiggins, Karl-Anthony Towns and recent No. 1 pick Kris Dunn—and a Western Conference with more parity than ever—the Baby Wolves are ripe to take the biggest jump of any team in the NBA.

Much of the responsibility will fall on Towns’s shoulders. After winning Rookie of the Year last season, the Kentucky product will be expected to elevate his game and help his teammates make their first playoff appearance since 2004. Whether that becomes a reality remains to be seen, but Towns looks like he’s in excellent shape to give it his best effort.

Towns tweeted a picture of himself performing a Hammer Curl, and my man looks cut. He has definitely added a fair amount of muscle definition to his arms and chest, and he looks slimmer than he did last season. Towns’s game is based on operating from the mid-post and making quick moves to the hoop or pulling up for mid-range jumpers, so getting stronger while slimming down will only help him dominate. We can’t wait to watch.
