Katherine Heigl and Rosario Dawson Face Off in ‘Unforgettable’
Katherine Heigl (27 Dresses) and Rosario Dawson star as rivals in the dramatic thriller Unforgettable. Heigl’s character, Tessa Connover, is struggling to cope with her divorce when a new woman, Julia (Dawson), takes her place, becoming engaged to her ex-husband David. Tessa’s jealously rages as she sees Julia move into her former home and become a part of her daughter Lilly’s life.
Although Julia seems happy, her life to this point has been far from perfect, and more distress is on the way due to Tessa’s wrath. As the film’s description says, “Julia believes she has finally met the man of her dreams, the man who can help her put her own troubled past behind her. But Tessa’s jealousy soon takes a pathological turn until she will stop at nothing to turn Julia’s dream into her ultimate nightmare.”
Rosario Dawson’s most recent credits include the Chris Rock comedy Top Five and the superhero television series Daredevil. Co-starring as David is Geoff Stults (The Break-Up). The cast also includes Simon Kassianides (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.), Whitney Cummings (Whitney), and Isabella Kai Rice of TV’s Pretty Little Liars.
This project reunites Heigl with producer Denise Di Novi, who is making her directorial debut. The two previously worked together when Di Novi produced Heigl’s romantic dramedy Life As We Know It.
The screenplay was written by Christina Hodson (Shut In) and David Johnson (Orphan).
Katherine Heigl, once a queen of the rom coms, has been leaning toward darker material lately with the movie Home Sweet Hell and her short-lived CIA television drama State of Affairs.
Unforgettable is expected to premiere in 2016.
