The Katy (Texas) High School football team is working hard to win another state championship and extend its dynasty. The 6A Division 2 powerhouse has played for the state title 14 times, winning 7 of them. Head coach Gary Joseph, who took over Katy football in 2004, has three state championships and a record of 138-12.
The team uses the VertiMax to improve various functional attributes such as balance, strength, speed and explosiveness. Joseph says, “Football for us is a game of quick explosive movements, and anything we can do to incorporate quick, short, explosive movements [is] very important.”
