Kyrie Irving Finally Looks Like His Old Self

As he continues to get more minutes following a 6-month layoff due to injury, Kyrie Irving is getting back into All-Star form.

Kyrie Irving Finally Looked Like His Old Self

After six months of rehab and three regular-season basketball games, Kyrie Irving finally looked like the version of himself we had admired throughout his five-year career.

After struggling and admitting to playing somewhat timid in his first couple of games back in the Cleveland Cavs' lineup, Irving dazzled the Phoenix Suns Monday night with an array of wizard-like dribbling moves that have made him one of the best point guards in the NBA. The play above is a perfect example of how Irving's handles can mesmerize a defense, leaving a man wide open—in this case Tristan Thompson—for an uncontested dunk.

Irving saved his best for last, nailing a deep 3 as the shot clock expired to give the Cavs a 4-point lead and sealing the win with 21 seconds left.

As his minutes increase, Irving will continue to shake off rust and get himself back into game shape; but his game against the Suns reminded us what the point guard can do when he's fully healthy.
