L.A. Rams Wide Receiver Stedman Bailey is Back Running Routes Just Five Months After Being Shot
Five months ago, Stedman Bailey lay in a Miami-area hospital after the worst night of his life. This week, the Los Angeles Rams receiver took a huge step forward in his recovery by getting back onto a football field to practice running routes.
Back in November, Bailey was shot twice in the head while sitting in a car driven by his cousin in Miami. Another vehicle sped by and someone opened fire. Bailey was rushed to the hospital. His injuries were declared non-life threatening, but he had a long road ahead of him before he could even think about playing football again.
Fast forward five months, and Bailey’s latest Instagram post is something to behold. Alongside teammate Tavon Austin, Bailey can be seen going through a route tree while working out on a field in Los Angeles. Bailey’s Twitter timeline is full of retweets from fans calling him an inspiration, and to see him back playing football after almost losing his life is truly awesome.
