Lance Stephenson Doesn’t Have a Car in Indianapolis, Has Been Running Back and Forth to Practice Instead
Just before the calendar turned from March to April, free agent Lance Stephenson signed a 3-year deal with the Indiana Pacers, the same team he began his career with and played for from 2010 to 2014. Stephenson was a part of the Pacers’ last triumphant playoff run, when they pushed the eventual NBA champion Miami Heat to seven games in the Eastern Conference Finals in 2013; but the following offseason he went looking for more money in free agency and eventually signed with the Charlotte Hornets.
The beloved Pacer is back now, in a city he knows better than almost any other. Stephenson knows Indy so well, in fact, that he hasn’t felt the need to have a car during the few short weeks he’s been there. Instead, he’s been living out of a hotel and jogging back and forth to practice, like he were a college walk-on, or something.
According to @PatBoylanPacers, Lance Stephenson does not have a car and jogs to and from practice. Currently living in a hotel.

Stephenson has enjoyed his car-free life so much that if you’re out and about, you might run in to him strolling around downtown Indianapolis window shopping on weekends.
Can’t make this up. Lance still without a car, enjoying a stroll after practice before the team takes off for Cleveland #Pacers pic.twitter.com/d39uekwRzP

Stephenson may have his quirks (like, you know, blowing into LeBron James’ ear in the middle of a basketball game), but never let it be said that he isn’t a man of the people.
