LeBron James is bringing a whole new meaning to the phrase “lean and mean.”
The four-time NBA MVP recently shared a photo of himself alongside Dwyane Wade on Instagram, and King James doesn’t seem to have an ounce of fat on him:
However, this isn’t new for LeBron. For the last several summers, he’s seemed to focus on getting as lean as possible while also retaining the required strength and explosiveness to remain the alpha dog of the NBA. Once upon a time, LeBron’s weight hovered around the 275- or 280-pound mark. But as he’s aged, he’s realized carrying less weight eases the pounding on his joints, which is a huge boost to his longevity.
Considering the fact he was just ranked number one in ESPN’s #NBARank countdown, the approach is obviously working. And he’s still carrying a lot more muscle mass than he did back in 2002:
