Lil Wayne's Memoir "Gone Til November" to Hit Shelves In May
Initially slated for release in November, Lil Wayne’s memoir, Gone Till November, will instead hit bookstores in May 2013.
The 288-page memoir documents the Young Money star’s eight-month stint in New York’s notorious correctional institution, Riker’s Island, for a gun possession conviction in 2010. Based on the diaries he kept during his time in prison, it collects his thoughts and memories of the interesting people he encountered while serving time.
According to the book’s publisher, Grand Central Publishing, the memoir offers fans an opportunity to peer inside the mind of arguably the largest hip-hop star today, and to experience the highest and lowest points of Wayne’s career.
In other news, Lil Wayne is currently prepping for the release of his custom line of Beats by Dre: “Beats by Trukfit,” which will be available this month for a limited time. And on Dec. 11, he will release his tenth album, the sequel to 2010’s I Am Not A Human Being. The project is said to feature collaborations with Big Sean, T.I., Young Jeezy, and several of his Young Money label mates, including Cory Gunz, Mack Maine and Gudda Gudda.
