Bradley Cooper Bringing ‘Limitless’ to the Small Screen
Bradley Cooper is working with Relativity Television to bring an adaptation of the 2011 movie Limitless to the small screen, reports Deadline. In the film, Cooper plays a struggling writer, who, aided by a drug called NZT, becomes a successful author with a bright future in politics.
Cooper will be involved behind the scenes as an executive producer for the potential television series.
“Limitless is the perfect example of [our] multi-platform approach to creating quality content,” said Relativity CEO Ryan Kavanaugh. “The story will transition perfectly to television, and we’re excited to partner with such a talented actor and producer as Bradley Cooper on the series.”
Georgeville TV CEO Marc Rosen echoed Kavanaugh’s sentiments and revealed what viewers can expect from the show. “The film has an organic natural extension into a compelling and sophisticated one-hour drama that is both a thrill-ride and a social commentary,” he said.
Limitless (the movie) also featured Robert DeNiro, Abbie Cornish, Anna Friel, Johnny Whitworth and Richard Bekins. It’s unclear whether any of the original cast will reprise their roles for the TV show.
The movie brought in more than $150 million at the box office. Would you watch a TV show based on Limitless? Who would you cast in the lead role?
