There's been word that none of the Cleveland Cavaliers have seen the Larry O'Brien trophy since the parade to celebrate the Cavs 2016 NBA championship in downtown Cleveland on Wednesday. That's probably because LeBron James and his golden monument have been inseparable ever since.
LeBron had the trophy with him when he traveled to his hometown of Akron on Thursday for a secondary celebration in front of his people. He was later spotted by reddit user Xearoii at Alley Cat, a restaurant in downtown Cleveland favored by the team, dining with the trophy in the middle of the table. He even came out onto the restaurant's balcony and hoisted the thing in front of adoring fans below, like a scene from The Lion King.
At this rate, the rest of the Cavaliers won't see the trophy for the rest of the summer. I mean, is Delly going to kindly ask LeBron to share it? Yeah, I didn't think so.
