LOOK: The Cleveland Cavaliers Are Eating Really, Really Well Ahead of the NBA Finals
The Cavs are headed to the NBA Finals for the second straight year, and they are the healthiest they’ve been since Kevin Love and LeBron James joined forced in Cleveland at the beginning of the 2014-2015 season. The team’s overall health is a product of the immense rehab work that both Love and Irving put in after the two went down with season-ending injuries in last year’s playoffs. It’s also a product of a little bit of luck. And it’s also a product of eating clean and healthy.
[instagram src=”https://www.instagram.com/p/BGE49Q9Nv7H”]The Cavs’ chef, Terry Bell, posted a picture of what was on the menu for the players after today’s shootaround at Cleveland Clinic Courts, and I promptly began drooling all over my keyboard. Roasted brussel sprouts, quinoa, brandy-lime agave salmon and chicken piccata were being served, and if I were on the Cavs, I would’ve gone for seconds, thirds and probably fourths until security had to restrain me.
This is how you make eating healthy enjoyable—by hiring a chef like Bell to whip up a spread like the one pictured above. If the Cavs end up losing to the Warriors for the second straight year, it won’t be for lack of good eats.
