They have been living separately for weeks. People knew something was wrong when Gisele was not seen in attendance for Tom’s first home game. The divorce court is almost in session for the two. They have taken their separation to the next step by hiring divorce lawyers. Sadly, it seems best for them both but terrible for the children. It seems “estamos juntos” (we are together in Portuguese) has hit a crossroads.

The separation is not about money or finances.

Gisele is worth $400 million compared to Tom’s $250 million. It really is about love, relationship, and responsibility. Tom agreed to retire and be more present as a father to his children and husband to his wife. When he reneged on their agreement, it angered and saddened Gisele simultaneously. Tom created a sad set of affairs that was too emotional for words to be expressed by Gisele.

Gisele is an intelligent and compromising woman.

She said when you have kids, your relationship with your husband changes. Now the kids are getting older and need their father’s support. She told him that the children and she would like him to be more present. Gisele had many conversations with him over and over. But Gisele said everyone has their own decision to make, and he needs to follow what makes him happy and brings him joy. Compelling words from Gisele to make the sadder wiser and understand happiness as the heart breaks into pieces.

It seems football is more important.

This looks to be more about fulfilling the ego.

Tom recently complained about having missed Christmas and Thanksgiving for years. Also, he said he missed birthdays and could not attend friends’ weddings or funerals. He mentioned that there comes a point in your life when you say, I’ve had my fill, and now’s enough and time to move on to other parts of life.

Unfortunately, Tom seems to be listening to his ego and not his heart. After this season, he will have a broken home, family, and marriage. And hopefully, he stays healthy and injury-free and does not break his body. That would be some karma.

Tom knows his wife has bent over backward to support and raise their children. He knows she put her work on hold and rejected jobs because of his football career. But Tom also knows that she has dreams to fulfill and has become unsatisfied with their marriage.

Well, it was time for Tom to throw in the towel. Family first. Gisele wants out based on Tom’s ego, greed, and turning his back on their decision. That is a puncture that is hard to mend.

Gisele and Tom have been married for 13 years. They have two children, 12 and 9 years old. The other child is 15 years old and from a previous marriage.
