Marshall Faulk Playable Character In “Tiger Woods PGA Tour 14”
Marshall Faulk will be a playable character in EA Sports’ Tiger Woods PGA Tour 14. Faulk spoke about the opportunity to join the golfing game during a recent interview with ESPN, in which he also revealed that he’s a fan of the series.
“I play the Tiger games a lot,” said the former NFL running back. “I can’t get over how realistic they are. If you’re about to play a course in real life, and you don’t have access to that course, if you play it on Tiger, you feel like [you] really know the course after playing the video game a couple of times. You remember holes and you remember certain things about certain courses. It’s fun.”
Faulk joins golf legend Arnold Palmer—who appears with Woods on the game’s cover—for a series of promotional spots hyping the game. Palmer’s presence highlights the game mode where gamers are given the chance to play against golf greats. The mode requires you to start back in 1930 with Bobby Jones and take on the likes of Ben Hogan, Sam Snead, Gary Player and Lee Trevino before playing a match against Woods.
In the short clip below, Faulk shows off his swing to a disapproving Palmer—who then rips him apart. Palmer mocks Faulk’s inability to get out of the sand and offers him one of his signature lemonade and ice-tea drinks for his “day on the beach.”
