Apparel that can increase athletic performance? It sounds mythical. But adidas says their PowerWeb technology, present in their TechFit Short Sleeve Tee [$50], actively supports muscles, thus boosting power output and energy efficiency.
To test these claims, we wore a TechFit T-shirt during a workout. No scientist was on hand to record our energy output, but our muscles definitely felt supported. We went hard and made it to the end of the workout without feeling completely burned out. The TechFit shirt was a welcome addition; the added support was noticeable, yet the shirt still felt comfortable.
The shirt is certainly not a magic pill to replace hard work in the weight room. But bottom line, it did add value to our workout. Results will surely vary among users. Only you can tell if the TechFit tee works for you.
