Mel Gibson to Direct ‘Expendables 3?’
Sylvester Stallone recently solicited input from fans on who should helm the director’s seat in the upcoming Expendables installment. He already has one person in mind: Mel Gibson.
No , I was kidding about, but seriously, what about Mel Gibson directing EXPENDABLES 3? Opinions anyone ?Curious…..

In recent years, Gibson has been in the headlines more for his antics away from the camera than in front of or behind it. But he has a proven track record as a director; he was the force behind Braveheart, The Passion of the Christ and Apocalypto. He could be just the guy to bridge the old-school action of The Expendables with a plausible plot line.
Expendables 2 sported an impressive lineup, including action veterans Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Chuck Norris, Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarzenegger. But the film completely lacked focus, substituting cliché one-liners and a nonsensical plot. Not that its flaws affected the revenue haul—the movie brought in over $300 million at the box office. But it seems Stallone is dedicated to making the third film better and bigger than its predecessors.
Also rumored to be coming to the action series is troubled 90’s star Wesley Snipes, who most recently did a stint in prison for tax evasion. “Sly wants to help Wesley get back on his feet. He sees him as a super addition to The Expendables in what will be their biggest adventure yet,” revealed an insider to the New York Daily News.
Jackie Chan is confirmed to play a small role in the upcoming movie, and legends Clint Eastwood and Harrison Ford are also said to be on Stallone’s wish list.
