Introducing the adiZero F50 Messi TRX FG

The adidas adiZero F50 Messi TRX FG soccer boot came out in March at a price of $220. Learn about its new features before you decide whether to buy a pair.

Messi Cleat

Earlier this year, four-time FIFA World Player of the Year Lionel Messi and adidas teamed up to update the popular Adizero F50, a lightweight cleat originally released as part of Messi's signature soccer footwear and apparel collection. Since the new shoe dropped back in March, sales and reviews for the F50 have been topping the charts.

Speed rules the pitch; and the men's adiZero F50 Messi TRX FG soccer cleat by adidas is designed to put your game on the fast track. Designed in close association with Messi, the boot features four pieces of updated adidas technology:

  • SPRINTWEB for breathability and lightweight support for acceleration and quick cuts, improving ball control
  • SPRINTSKIN, a single-layer synthetic upper for a truly lightweight soccer cleat with incredible ball feel
  • SPRINTFRAME to get the foot closer to the ground for better forefoot proportion
  • TRAXION2.0 FG, a stud configuration that provides maximum grip in all directions without excessive pressure points

Just like Messi, the cleat is made to perform in all kinds of weather. It's made of water-wicking material and its raised ridge pattern allows water to slide off. Finally, the 2013 model is miCoach-compatible.

The adiZero F50 Messi TRX FG is available now at for $220.
