As we're heading into a new week, I always like to reflect on the week prior and ask myself. "How was the week as a whole?" Well, if you lived in Texas, I can guarantee you that everybody can relate to when I say this: It was a pretty rough week. Who would've thought that we

would have a snowstorm in Texas that would knock out power and cause so many headaches for many people? It's a whole new week and there are still some people in the state who currently do not have power or are still on a boiling water notice.

Many out there still need help, and NBA player Myles Turner managed to do something about it. Myles Turner is a Texas native who is the starting Center for Indiana Pacers if you do not know. As we're heading into a new week, I always like to reflect on the week prior and ask myself. "How was the week as a whole?" Well, if you lived in Texas, I can guarantee you that everybody can relate to when I say this: It was a pretty rough week. Who would've thought that we

Many out there still need help, and NBA player Myles Turner managed to do something about it. Myles Turner is a Texas native who is the starting Center for Indiana Pacers if you do not know. The donation all started due to a fan trolling Turner about his play on the court in recent games. The fan reached out to Turner three times through the app Venmo requesting 100 dollars from him. Turner decided to respond to the heckler by sending him a penny "for his thoughts."

The heckler did not appreciate the donation and decided to tweet at Turner while sending a shot of his Venmo. Turner responded with a subtle jab saying, "Don't dish it out if you can't take it." Soon after, he started to receive many penny donations over the next days from many fans. Once he started noticing the donations add up over time, Myles

decided to match the total amount with his own. By Monday, the penny campaign's donations amounted to more than $25,000. Here's the tweet below:

Including the money he donated alongside the NBPA, they raised a total of 76,000 dollars to help people in need. Turner flipped a negative to a positive to help Texans in a very trying time, and he should be praised more for this move.
