We're well aware of former Oklahoma star Buddy Hield's legendary pre-game ritual in which the Bahamas-born marksman, as a part of five-hour workout, shoots anywhere between 400 and 700 3-pointers to prepare for that night's opponent. It became something of an urban legend in Norman, one of those things that gets distorted as the rumors pass from student to student until someone finally says, "Did you hear Buddy put up 2,000 shots this morning? Wow!"
Jamal Murray hit 79 of 100 3's in Boston last week. Buddy Hield, per source, hit 85 of 100 in front of Celtics brass today in California.

It should come as no surprise, then, that Heild, who leaves Oklahoma as its all-time leader in 3-pointers (he shot 46 percent from that distance last season), reportedly enthralled the Celtics brass during a private workout in which he hit 85 of 100 3's.
It should be even less of a surprise after you watch the above video, taken during a recent pre-draft workout Hield went through in Oklahoma with skills coach Trey Slate. If you fast forward to the two-minute mark, you can watch Hield knock down 35 of 36 3-pointers from around the arc. He hits 15 in a row before he misses one. That's incredible accuracy, and it looks like it's only getting better as Hield prepares to become an NBA rookie.
Move over, Steph Curry. The next generation of 3-point assassins will arrive soon.
