NBA Stars, Including Kyrie Irving, Draymond Green and DeMarcus Cousins, Don Their College Uniforms to Celebrate March Madness

The most glorious time of the year is finally upon us. The NCAA Tournament bracket was officially filled out during Selection Sunday; and though this year’s No. 1-ranked teams have more combined losses than their counterparts in any previous season, that fact alone should make for one of the more memorable tourneys, simply because of the parity.
As it does every year, March Madness has quickly swept through the country, even reaching a handful of NBA players whose alma maters are perennial players in the tournament. Since a whopping 69 percent of the schools playing in this year’s competition are Nike schools, the brand decided to have a little fun by putting together a photo shoot with NBA players like Kyrie Irving, Draymond Green and DeMarcus Cousins donning their old college uniforms. It’s a fun glimpse at what they’d look like if they were still playing in college today, and the transformations their bodies have gone through since they declared for the NBA Draft.
Kyrie Irving has always had a sinewy frame, but since arriving in the NBA, the former Duke point guard has added a fair amount of visible bulk to both his shoulders and his arms.
Draymond Green has both lost weight and added muscle, especially to his torso and arms since leaving Michigan State and becoming a key cog in the win-machine that is the Golden State Warriors.
DeMarcus Cousins has grown into his 6-foot-11 frame since landing in Sacramento. During his freshman year at Kentucky, Cousins had little muscle mass, and he looked like he needed to shed his baby fat. In the NBA, Cousins has rid himself of excess fat and turned it into muscle. We assume his body fat percentage has dropped significantly since his days in Lexington.
All in all, the photos give fans an idea of how much work goes in to being an NBA player, not only on the court, but behind the scenes in the training room.
