Terrence Cody Talks Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3
Excitement is building for the Nov. 8 release of Activision’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. As part of our coverage, we spoke with several athletes, including St. Louis Rams WR Brandon Lloyd and Baltimore Ravens NT Terrence Cody, about the game. (Read our interview with Lloyd.) Here, Cody reveals his passion for the Call of Duty franchise, his favorite style of play and the ridiculous setup he has for gaming.
Recalling his first experience with Call of Duty, Cody says, “When the 360 [edition] came out, that’s when I first fell in love.” The anchor of the Ravens’ defensive line is a certified gamer, and for him, it doesn’t get any better than Call of Duty.
The game’s versatility, realistic gameplay and ability to play with—and against—teammates hooked him early. “I like the multiplayer [mode],” he says, adding that there’s a lot of locker room trash talk about who’s the best shooter.
Cody admits to being a “run and gunner,” but he adopts other styles when necessary. “I can hide and snipe and ambush and do all that stuff,” he claims.
When Modern Warfare 3 comes out, Cody plans on having a big party with teammates and friends to celebrate the release. And with two gaming rooms in his house, he certainly has the setup for it. “I got a man cave in the basement. In one of my rooms, I got a 65-inch TV,” he says.
Cody and friends will be up all night on Nov. 8. Based on the hype surrounding Modern Warfare 3, no doubt many of you will be up with him.
