The "every-down" running back is on the brink of extinction, as teams are becoming reluctant to invest a high draft pick on a position that's increasingly being handled by committee. That doesn't mean every-down running backs don't exist. In fact, a few backs in this draft possess the traits needed to excel in this role, which includes pass protection and route running to catch passes out of the backfield.
