Merriam-Webster defines "technician" as a specialist in the technical details of a subject or occupation. In the NFL, a "technician" is a left tackle who is proficient in every aspect of his position, especially pass protection. A technician has quick feet, plays with superb balance, possesses elite lateral agility and generates a powerful initial punch.
