Nike “The Opening” Video Featuring Ndamukong Suh
It’s where the chosen few compete against the best and establish their elite status, proclaims 2010 NFL Rookie of the Year and All-Pro defensive lineman Ndamukong Suh. “The Opening,” dubbed “the ultimate football training experience,” is going down at Nike World Headquarters in Beaverton, Ore., from July 5-9.
The five-day football extravaganza will kick off with the SPARQ Rating National Championship. Top performers from each of this year’s 12 Nike Football Training Camps will battle it out for athletic supremacy to determine the 2011 SPARQ National Champion.
Making its event debut this year is the Lineman Challenge. Details are limited, but if we were betting folks, we’d go all in that Big Suh will have a hand in the event.
Last but certainly not least is the 7On Tournament, an eight-team touch football playoff showcasing a group of four- and five-star recruits and their nationally-ranked teams. Participating teams have not yet been officially announced, but one thing’s for sure: back-to-back champs Miami-Northwestern High School will have the bull’s eye on their backs.
“The Opening” is not open to the public, but STACK will have full access and will provide exclusive coverage. At last year’s event, we spoke with Nike athletes Suh, DeSean Jackson, Troy Polamalu and many more to learn what inspires them to be great—not just in the game of football, but the game of life.
