California DJ Bassnectar recruited hip hop artist Lupe Fiasco for the latest single off his new album, "Vava Voom." The track is an excellent blend (and an increasingly popular combo) of hip hop and dubstep. At rollingstone.com, Bassnectar discusses the song's fast-paced rhythm and high velocity, explaining the title as well: "'Vava Voom' is where life shifts into time-warp speed, but you find yourself in an almost slow motion trance."
This it not the first time Bassnectar and Fiasco have gotten together. Previously, Fiasco threw down some lyrics over Bassnectar's remix of Ellie Goulding's "Lights," a tune guaranteed to propel you into action before a workout or game.
Pre-order the entire "Vava Voom" album at Bassnectar.net. It drops April 10.
