Now Hear This: OneRepublic’s ‘Native’
Hailing from Colorado Springs, Colo., OneRepublic has taken the nation by storm. The group’s first two albums were met with acclaim by fans and critics alike. And today, they will release their third studio album, Native.
Leading up to today’s release, the band whet fans’ appetites by boasting on Twitter that Native “has to literally be the best thing we have ever done.” Among the album’s tracks are “Burning Bridges,” “Preaching,” “Counting Stars” and “Life in Color.”
Last August, the band released their first single, a pop rock-gospel fusion piece entitled “Feel Again.” It peaked at number 36 on the Billboard Top 100 chart. Their second single, “If I Lose Myself,” released in January, was inspired by Ryan Tedder’s intense fear of dying in an airplane crash. It made it to number 74 on the Billboard chart.
In an act of goodwill, OneRepublic donates a portion of the profits from their singles to charity.
