Kendrick Lamar & Hopsin to Perform at Paid Dues 2013
There you have it! Murs has unveiled the full lineup for the Paid Dues music festival this year.
The event, which caters to fans of the independent hip-hop movement, has pulled in quite a few popular acts this year. Black Hippy, which consists of Kendrick Lamar, SchoolBoy Q, Ab-Soul and Jay Rock, will perform at the festival and more than likely headline on one of the stages. Also scheduled to appear are rapper Macklemore and producer Ryan Lewis, who are still riding high off the success of their debut effort, The Heist.
Other performers include Dom Kennedy, Tech N9ne, De La Soul, Immortal Technique, Hospin, Joey Bada$$, Grouch & Eligh, Killer Mike, Jean Grae, Smoke DZA, Elzhi, Freddie Gibbs, Madlib, Scarface and Juicy J.
Chang Weisberg, CEO and founder of Guerilla Union, called this year’s lineup one of the more “diverse” festivals.He said, “It allows artists to elevate their talents and presence. Not only that: Paid Dues embraces all types of hip-hop—old school, new school, underground, mainstream. The common denominator here is that they all embody the independent spirit, struggle and success.”
The festival will take place on March 30 at the NOS Event Center in San Bernardino, Calif. General Admission costs $76 and includes parking and a charity donation. A VIP ticket cost $186 and includes parking, charity donation, prime seating, a t-shirt, backpack, two drink tickets and access to a private bar and VIP restroom facilities.
