Help UFC Heavyweight Stipe Miocic Donate to Military Children This Christmas
Forgive Stipe Miocic for his aversion to receiving gifts. The UFC heavyweight recently wrote on his blog, “I hate getting gifts; I mean I seriously don’t like it. I always feel awkward and don’t really know how to thank anyone. I’m much better at giving things than I am getting them.”
This is a guy who’s internationally known for his giving ways. Look to his record.
Miocic owns a 9-1 record his pro career, including seven knockouts and one submission. If delivering knockouts were considered an act of generosity, Miocic would be like the Kris Kringle of cage fighting.
Which brings us to his present initiative. Miocic, who serves as a firefighter and paramedic in the Cleveland area, is giving in a more kind and caring way this holiday season. He’s teaming up with his workmates to help donate new Matchbox cars and Barbie Dolls to children of active military members as part of Operation Play It Forward.
The toys must be new, preserved in their original packaging and delivered to Miocic by Dec. 10. Send a photo of your donation (before packing and shipping it, of course) to Miocic on Twitter (@smiocic), and he will re-tweet the image and give you a follow.
All items can be shipped to:
