PlayStation Vita's Store Now Online
Great news for athletes who love to game. As of Thursday, Feb. 9, the PlayStation Vita store is now online. Sony’s Official PlayStation store hit the ‘net offering 275 PSP, Mini and Vita titles for purchase and download right now.
The PlayStation Vita ($249) won’t be available in the U.S. until Feb. 22, but that doesn’t mean you can’t plan ahead. According to PlayStation, “Hundreds of classic PSP titles and minis will be available to play on PS Vita on day one via the PlayStation Store.” Available titles include Fatal Fury, Final Fantasy IV: The Complete Collection, MLB 2K11, NBA 2K12, Street Fighter Alpha 3 Max, WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2011 and World Sports Competition. For the full list, head over to the Sony blog and scroll down to the bottom of the page. Don’t worry if your favorite game isn’t there yet; Sony will be releasing many more games in the coming weeks.
The launch of the PlayStation Vita’s PS Store means more entertainment options on long trips to away games. You can order, download and play a new game whenever you’re in the mood—and share with your teammates, of course. The list includes a great lineup of sports-related games (like MLB 12: The Show), shooter games (Unit 13) and other options to keep your crew entertained.
Sony has also released instructions on how to download PSP titles to your Vita, so head over to their blog for more details. And keep your eyes open in the coming weeks for more of your favorite games being added.
