Positive Coaching Alliance

The Positive Coach Alliance (PCA), an organization dedicated to improving the culture of youth sports by reaching out to athletes, parents and coaches, is offering an incredible opportunity for high school juniors nationwide to earn a Triple-Impact Competitor Scholarship worth $1,000 to $2000.

A Triple-Impact Competitor, defined in PCA founder Jim Thompson's book, Elevating Your Game: Becoming a Triple-Impact Competitor, is an athlete who commits "to improving oneself, teammates and the game as a whole."

To apply, visit the PCA website. Applicants must have a GPA of 2.5 or above and write an essay about the characteristics of a Triple-Impact Competitor. They must also provide a testimonial from a coach, a school administrator and one other sponsor.

Eligibility extends to any high school athlete graduating in 2015 who plays for a high school or club team.

The deadline for applications is May 31. Finalists will be notified via e-mail in August, 2014.
