Tired of sifting through the 900-page college guidebooks? Although those books are extremely thorough and informative, they can be overwhelming and might even leave you more confused than before you started your selection, application or decision-making process. If you’re looking to compete in sports at the college level and are unsure about where and how to begin—enter RecruitU.

RecruitU, a new iOS app from Recruiting Sports Network is designed to help student-athletes with their college selection and recruiting process. Free from the iTunes store, the app not only provides students with information about schools (such as size, location, enrollment, conference affiliation and tuition), it enables them to input relevant information about themselves to get back a customized list of colleges fitted to their profile selections.

To confused athletes and parents, RSN founder and former NCAA basketball coach George White says, “We developed our RecruitU App to be the powerful solution to getting athletes and parents on the fast track in this process.”

RecruitU even allows student-athletes and parents to connect (directly via email) with coaches at selected and matched schools. RecruitU’s database includes contact information for coaches of every college and sport. The app also offers a custom email template, including places for your key athletic info and video clips to assist you in making a compelling introduction. Likewise, for coaches, RecruitU provides an expanded pool of student-athletes who meet their criteria.
