Rob Gronkowski Thinks Retired Tom Brady Will Be Back In The NFL
What Rob thinks, Rob knows. The Super Bowl ended with a LA Rams Tom Brady style game-winning touchdown, and there are already talks of a TB12 return to football. So, it sounds like Rob Gronkowski, friend and teammate who came out of retirement to play with Brady in Tampa, is whispering away, spilling the beans, in a sort of way. But, of course, he knows something.
Tom’s retirement doesn’t sound like he’s complaining and retiring for age-related reasons. He hasn’t complained about father time taking away any physical athletic ability. If anything, he said he still feels young, spry, and in his twenties.
“The guy can play at any age,” Gronkowski told USA TODAY Sports Friday. “If he’s 50 years old he can still come back. I think he’s going to come back but in a couple of years. The guy’s a beast. He can play anytime.”
Rob said that Tom would take some time, possibly years off, to rest up, spend time with his family, and return. Tom previously said he wanted to be more of a wife Giselle and spend more time with her and his children. Being a professional athlete and not seeing your family is a drawl back. So, while he is not collecting MVP awards in the NFL, he can win titles like World’s Greatest Husband and Dad.
If Brady does come back, all eyes will be glued to the TV to see his come-back performance. Rob also commented that Tom could play at any age he wanted, even if he were 50 years old. He called Tom a beast and could play at any time.
Some teams were in the hunt when rumors hit that TB12 was retiring. Tampa Bay certainly would like to have him back. Searching for a new quarterback is not going to be easy. The Bucs would certainly want Tom back for another Super Bowl run. Also, situations like what happened with Antonio Brown can defiantly disrupt the energy and synchronization of the team mentally. Unfortunately, it came toward the end of the season.
Well, for the time being, NFL teams can be excited that they now have a better chance to win the Super Bowl with Tom out of the picture for the next few years.
Tom did the unthinkable. As a 6th round draft pick, he turned the NFL world upside down by winning seven Super Bowls in 22 seasons. So, maybe he plans to do the unthinkable again. Come back to the gridiron. Win a few more Super Bowls and then retire at 50. Like Brady recently said, “You never say never.” Let’s see.
