Result: Defeated Andy Murray for his seventh Wimbledon title
After a two-year absence from the finals of the tournament that he once owned, Federer decided to switch up his colorway in 2012, and it worked. Gone was the white and gold look of the past. In its place were green accents on the swoosh of Federer's t-shirt, headband and shorts to match the white/purple/green combo of his Nike Zoom Vapor 9s. It did the trick, as Federer took out Andy Murray in four sets to win for the seventh time across the pond.
