The Western Conference Finals start Monday between the Thunder and the Golden State Warriors, and it should be a great series. Fans can look forward to many terrific matchups, but the best one might be Westbrook versus Curry.
The prospect of having to guard the best player in the NBA and two-time MVP is intimidating, but Westbrook isn’t scared. During the Monday morning shootaround, he said, “He’s a shooter. He’s not nothing I haven’t seen.”
Westbrook knows Curry can shoot from deep, and he’s prepared to get physical to stop him. It will be interesting to see whether his toughness can shut down the elusive Curry and squelch the Warriors offensive attack.
