The new Samsung Galaxy Music, already being dubbed the disco phone, should be perfect for people who can’t live without their favorite playlists but who can’t afford an expensive, high-end smartphone like the iPhone or the Galaxy 3III.

The Samsung Galaxy Music has a Music Dedicated key—one-click access to the music player. Once you get to your tunes and select your favorite song, another new feature called Sound Alive optimizes the quality of the audio. What’s more, SRS technology provides listeners with a surround-sound effect with only two speakers.
Don’t worry, the phone’s 512MB internal memory and 4GB internal storage can hold thousands of songs. Not enough space? There’s always the microSD slot option, which supports up to 32GB of extra storage.
This affordable smartphone with high-end music player will run on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. You’ll have access to the Google Play app store and Google Maps, as well as to Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, GPS, an accelerometer, a digital compass, and a proximity sensor. Additional features: Music Hub, Game Hub Lite, and the company’s TouchWiz user interface.
So, where’s the compromise? Here’s the not-so-impressive part: the phone comes with a 3-inch QVGA, 240-by-320-pixel display and a 3-megapixel rear-facing camera with no flash. Just keep in mind that the phone is designed for the music enthusiast who wants iTunes standard music on a budget. So if you’re prepared to give up some high-end bells and whistles, this phone might be for you.
Samsung has yet to mention a launch date or a price, but we do know that the Galaxy Music will cost substantially less than other smartphones with similar features.
The phone will also be available in a dual-SIM version called the Galaxy Music DUOS.
