Puma’s Project Pink, along with Women’s Professional Soccer (WPS), is taking the initiative to help raise money and awareness for the fight against breast cancer.
Five WPS matches were held to promote the program, and pro players have been speaking out for the cause. Boston Breakers’ star Leslie Osborne has been doing her part to spread the word.
Fresh from promoting Project Pink at local soccer tournaments, she says, “It was a big hit, obviously, for the girls to understand what (Project Pink) means. And it may not hit them right now, but it’s going to somehow affect them.”

Athletes like Leslie and programs like Project Pink remind athletes to be thankful for their health, the opportunity to play the game they love, and the chance to realize how much can be accomplished off the field.
