#STACKletes Launches on Twitter to Help You Get to the Next Level
Getting noticed by D-I recruiters has never been easier, thanks to Twitter. Coaches throughout the wide world of sports have Twitter accounts, as do your favorite pro and collegiate athletes.
We are now inviting you to join the conversation and take your talents to the world.
Our previous post highlighted the power of social media in recruiting. Young athletes have received full-rides to D-I programs by sharing their highlights online. The opportunity for you to showcase your athletic skills is huge.
If you haven’t already done so, sign up for your own account at Twitter.com. Follow us at @STACKMedia for all your sports performance needs, and search the hashtag #STACKletes. We’re encouraging all of our followers to include this hashtag in their tweets about workouts, training tips, upcoming games and college recruiting experiences—so they can interact with and learn from their fellow athletes. We will closely follow this feed and answer any questions you pose about improving athleticism. Go the extra mile by tweeting a video with your workout or highlight reel. If we like what we see, we might retweet it to our followers, who include coaches, experts and college recruiters.
Here’s an example from one of the original #STACKletes, @zak52palek.
We’re also excited to announce The STACK Daily, a collection of popular articles and video from our friends and partners as well as from STACK.com, published in an easy-to-read e-news format. Look for it every night at approximately 10 p.m. EST.
Our goals are to better serve your needs and help you connect with and learn from your fellow athletes. Start tweeting with the #STACKletes hashtag today. You might even get discovered by a coach from your dream program.
