Stance Unveils Toronto-Themed Socks for NBA All-Star Weekend
This year’s NBA All-Star Game is being held north of the border for the first time ever, and the league is going hard to incorporate Toronto into everything associated with the game, from the logo to the uniforms, and now, the socks.
Stance, the company taking over the NBA’s sock duties for the first time this year, has released images of the socks that will be worn by both the East and West squads on Sunday, Feb. 14—and by the rookies and sophomores participating in the Rising Stars Challenge on Friday night.
The West gets red and white socks, while the East will sport blue and white ones. Each sock features the NBA logo outlined by the Canadian maple leaf. A series of white stars appears on the first red and blue stripe at the top of each sock, and “TO16” is written on the footbed to memorialize the game and its host city. The cuff of each sock incorporates a ring of multiple colors echoing the same stripe on the All-Star uniforms.
Rising Stars participants get black, gold and grey socks, meant to reflect the alternate uniforms worn by the Toronto Raptors at various points this season.
