Terence Newman is a modern marvel.

He's the oldest defensive player in the NFL, yet the Minnesota Vikings cornerback is still locking down dudes nearly two decades younger than him.

The 39-year-old Newman was selected with the fifth overall pick of the 2003 NFL Draft.

For context, Dallas Clark, Willis McGahee and Troy Polamalu were also drafted that same year.

While those stars retired years ago, Newman is still soldiering on.

He totaled 35 tackles and 5 passes defended for the Vikings last season.

He'll turn 40 shortly before the start of the 2018 season.
