Career Highlights: 43 PGA Tour victories, 5 major tournament titles
Annual Endorsement Earnings: $37 million
Lefty is no longer a regular atop the PGA leaderboards these days.
Before topping Justin Thomas in a playoff at the WGC-Mexico Championship in March, Mickelson hadn't won an event in five years (2013 British Open).
But his lack of victories on the course did little to hurt his ability to generate revenue for products he endorses. Golf is often a sport of personality, and once you become a fan-favorite, that luster doesn't tarnish easily.
While the 48-year-old Mickelson still brought home a cool $4.3 million in tournament earnings last year, he made a mountain in endorsements.
Mickelson's major compensation came from the likes of Rolex, ExxonMobile and Mizzen+Main menswear.
Those deals netted Mickelson $37 million last year.
The deal with Dallas-based Mizzen+Main may be the most curious. The company makes sweat-wicking long-sleeve, button-down dress shirts, and Mickelson has agreed to wear them on the course. It doesn't look like standard golf pro attire, but Mickelson told ESPN that he likes to be a trend setter.
