"The Dark Knight Rises" This July
The first teaser trailer for The Dark Knight Rises was released last July, and now we are being treated to a second trailer, which gives us our first look at Catwoman, the Batplane and the most spectacular touchdown of Hines Ward’s illustrious career. As if that were not enough, we also see Bane take over a plane on an IMAX screen in the thrilling first six minutes of the movie.
If you’re like us, and you still can’t get enough of the Dark Knight, check out these new photos from this week’s Entertainment Weekly Batman cover feature.
Although director Christopher Nolan has been mum on the plot of the new film, we do know that Christian Bale will return in the role of Batman for one last time; that the story picks up eight years after The Dark Knight ends; and that a physically and psychologically scarred Batman will face a Gotham uprising led by Bane, the most loathsome Batman villain to date.
The phenomenal returning cast, including Michael Caine, Gary Oldman and Morgan Freeman, will be joined by two new faces: Anne Hathaway as Catwoman and Tom Hardy as Bane.
Will you show up on July 19 to find out if the team can outdo its predecessors? If you plan on catching a midnight showing, you’ll need to act fast. According to Time, midnight tickets are already sold out in New York, San Francisco and Los Angeles.
