Now considered a horror film classic, The People Under the Stairs centers on the mysterious disappearance of a young woman from a grand home known as Robeson Family Manor. During the search for her, a shocking discovery is made—and the estate contains centuries-old horrors.

It has been described as a "contemporary Downton Abbey meets Amityville Horror." Writing the series is Michael Reisz, whose recent work includes the TV crime drama Unforgettable. Reisz is also set to executive produce the project, alongside Craven.

The series We Are All Completely Fine will follow psychologist Dr. Jan Sayer as she facilitates a support group that features survivors of five horror movie scenarios. As the doctor unwittingly opens the door to the evils of her patients' pasts, their traumas resurface. It becomes clear which monsters dwell within them and which exist in plain sight. Craven will reportedly write the script for this imaginative show, direct the pilot episode and serve as one of the executive producers.

In addition to these Syfy series, Craven will also be executive producing the TV adaptation of Scream for MTV.
