EXCLUSIVE: LeBron Talks About Limited Edition ‘Friday the 13th’ Blood Splatter LeBron 13
The 2015-2016 NBA season is officially upon us, and that means the return of LeBron James to our television screens. It will be the first time James gets to rock his new Nike LeBron 13s on the court during the regular season. A slew of colorways will be released soon after.
One of the best upcoming colorways of LeBron’s latest kicks is the “Friday the 13th” iteration, which coincides with James’s love of Halloween. The shoe features a predominantly white upper with red accents on the laces and a black swoosh outlined in red. But what really makes the shoe pop is the “blood spatter” pattern on the sole and around the heel, an homage to the Friday The 13th movie franchise. In the video above, LeBron explains how he and the Nike design team came up with the spooky concept.
There’s no word yet on the official release date, though there’s speculation that the shoe will drop on Nov. 13, which just so happens to be a Friday. Stay tuned to STACK for more info.
