The Virtual NFL Training Camp
With the start of the 2010 NFL Training Camp [check out the list of 32-team report dates here], football season is finally approaching. And thanks to the NFL’s collaboration with EA Sports, fans and athletes alike can take part in the action by training like the pros with EA Sports Active NFL Training Camp, scheduled for release in November, exclusively for the Nintendo Wii.
“EA Sports Active NFL Training Camp delivers an authentic NFL experience that is fun and engaging, while providing a challenging workout,” says Andrew Wilson, EA Sports senior vice president for worldwide development. “It exemplifies our commitment to both NFL football and the fitness space, as well as delivering new experiences for new audiences.”
EA Sports Active NFL Training Camp contains more than 70 NFL-approved drills, designed to increase a gamer’s strength, power, agility and conditioning—things NFL players focus on not only during camp, but throughout the year. You can start as a NFL prospect and participate in a 60-Day Challenge leading up to your virtual test date at the NFL Combine.
Just like in an actual weight room, athletes don’t have to train alone. Multi-player mode allows teammates to compete head-to-head during every drill, comparing scores with one another and against other crews online.
The only downside of this hard-hitting, virtual training realm is that it’s not scheduled for release until Nov. 16, 2010. Luckily for those who want NFL-approved workouts sooner, STACK has you covered. Our training vault of NFL ballers keeps growing, ranging from D-lineman Jared Allen of the Vikings to Texans WR Andre Johnson. And for even more NFL pro training, check out the Football Channel on STACK TV.
